George Philip LeBourdais (Ph.D. Candidate ABD, Art History) was the graduate student affiliate in the founding of the Arts Review. His research explores landscape and landscape architecture, environmental history, and altered states of consciousness, all of which come to bear in his dissertation on nineteenth-century photography of arctic glaciers and icebergs and the invention of the concept of “ecology” in the 1860s.icebergs in the nineteenth century.
