National Television Awards 2022: Who all won this year?

This article is about the announcement regarding the winners of the National Television Awards 2022. Joel Dommett will preside over the glitzy ceremony on Thursday, October 13, live from Wembley Arena. The Drama Performance, Talent Show, and the perennially competitive Serial Drama Prize were among the competitive categories.

The most obvious success of the evening was Ant and Dec’s record-breaking 21st straight win. The Best Presenter category, even though they were unable to attend. Because they had unluckily tested positive for COVID, Sir Lenny Henry won the special recognition award.

What were the Award Categories for National Television Award 2022? 

An Award for Bruce Forsyth Entertainment

The Bruce Forsyth awards winner was I’m a Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here. In addition, the nominees were Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Taskmaster, and The Graham Norton Show.

New drama

The new drama nominees were Heartstopper; This Is Going to Hurt  Big Time. Also, the winner was the Trigger Point.

Television expert

Martin Lewis was the winner of the television expert. Hence the other nominees were Jay Blades, Kaleb Cooper, and Sir David Attenborough.

A Talent Show Judge

Anton Du Beke was the winner of the talent show judge. In addition, David Walliams, Mo Gilligan, and RuPaul were the nominees.

Acting in a Serial Drama Performance

The nominees were Gillian Wright (Jean Slater, EastEnders), Paige Sandhu (Meena Jutla, Emmerdale), and Rose Ayling-Ellis (Frankie Lewis, EastEnders)were the nominees. So, Marlon Dingle’s Emmerdale co-star Mark Charnock was the winner.

Returning Drama

The winner of returning drama was Peaky Blinders. In addition, Bridgerton, Call the midwife, and The Split were the nominees.

Comedy

After Life was the winner. Further, Derry Girls and Not Going Out Sex Education was the nominee.

TV Presenter

The TV presenter award was to Ant & Dec. Additionally, Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, and Graham Norton were the nominees.

Daytime

Loose Women, The Chase, and The Repair Shop were the nominees. Thus, This Morning was the winner.

Factual Entertainment

The factual entertainment nominees were Clarkson Farm, Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs, and The Great British Bake. Thus, Gogglebox was the winner.

Authored Documentary

Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer and Me, Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next, Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism, and Tom Parker: Inside My Head were the nominees. Thus, Kate Garraway: Derek’s Care was the winner.

Rising Star

The nominees of the Rising star were Charithra Chandran (Edwina Sharma, Bridgerton), Joe Locke (Charlie Spring, Heartstopper) and 

Kit Connor (Nick Nelson, Heartstopper). Then Paddy Bever(Max Turner, Coronation Street) was the winner.

The Quiz Show

Beat the Chasers was the winner of the Quiz Show. Moreover, In it for the money, Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel and The 1% Club were the other nominees.

Drama Performance

Cillian Murphy (Thomas Shelby, Peeky Blinders actor) was the winner of Drama Performance. Hence, the other nominees were Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton, Bridgerton), Nicola Walker (Hannah, The Split), and Vicky McClure (Lana Washington, Trigger Point).

Talent Show

The show Strictly Come Dancing won the Talent Show. In addition, the nominees were Britain’s Got Talent, RuPaul’s Drag Race the UK, and The Masked Singer.

Serial Drama

Emmerdale was the winner of a serial drama. Hence the nominees were Coronation Street, EastEnders, and Neighbours.
