On Wednesday, Nicolas Cage had his third child, and first with wife Riko Shibata. A spokeswoman for the couple confirmed the news to People, stating, “Nicolas and Riko are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter.” Moreover, “Mother and daughter are doing OK,” the representative said.
The actor welcomed his first child
The 58-year-old actor has two sons from previous relationships: Weston, 31, and Kal-El, 16. The pregnancy of the “National Treasure” actress and her 29-year-old business partner was announced in January, according to Page Six.
Three months later, Cage told Kelly Clarkson that they had a baby girl on the way and wanted to call her Lennon Augie as a tribute to John Lennon and Cage’s father, August Coppola.
“I’ll name her Lenny for short,” the Oscar winner stated in the April interview. “I’m thrilled. It’s going to be the biggest adventure of my life.
The two wed in February 2021. Cage told Extra later that month that Shibata was five months away from giving birth, adding that he was prepared to take on diaper duty.
“I like being a father and taking my parental duties seriously,” the California native remarked. Cage is the parent of two kids, Weston and Kal-El.
