Seraph of the End, also known as Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign is a dark fantasy Japanese manga series. It is written by Takaya Kagami and illustrated by Yamato Yamamoto. It first premiered on 04 September, 2012 through Shueisha‘s Jump SQ Magazine. It’s English release was licensed by Viz Media in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. It was further adapted into an anime television series by Wit Studio that aired from 04 April 2014 to 26 December, 2015.

Seraph of the End: Highlights
In the story, a fatal virus has wiped out most of the huamnity. Now, vampires dominate the world, and enslave the remaining human race. Yuichiro Hyakuya, a human, has been living as livestock along with his orphan friends for more than 4 years.
Determined to escape and desperate for freedom, he makes a plan with his friend Mikaela, only for them to fail. To make it out alive, and not just be an object to provide blood, he joins Japanese Imperial Demon Army. It’s the only hope to avenge for his family’s death.

In the previous chapter of Seraph of the End titled “Yu & Guren”, Mika contacts Yu in his mind with the concern of where they are going. Stating that Guren, Mahiru, Ferid, and Krul are in cahoots, Mika adds they need to find out what their plan is.
Yu has an idea, and directly asks Guren what his grand plan is. While Yu speaks how he is grateful to him, he will destroy the truck and walk away if Guren does not answer his questions.
