President Joe Biden and the 1st lady Jill Biden have finally added a cat to their pet family. Her name is Willow, and she’s a 2-year-old, green-eyed, gray, and white farm cat from Pennsylvania. “Willow is sinking into the White House along with her favorite toys, treats, and lots of areas to smell and explore,”. Jill Biden had aforementioned that once Joe Biden was elected in November 2020. they might bring a kitty to the White House, however, her arrival had been delayed. Last month, the White House mentioned that the cat would come in January. The 1st lady named Willow after her hometown of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
The White House hasn’t had a feline resident since India, President George W. Bush’s cat.
Willow joins Commander, a German police dog puppy Joe Biden introduced in December as a birthday present from the president’s brother James Biden and his wife, Sara.
The Bidens had 2 different German shepherds, Champ and Major, at the White House before Commander.
But Major, a 3-year-old rescue dog, started behaving sharply once he arrived in January 2021, as well as a combination of biting incidents. The White House had aforementioned Major was still adjusting to his new home, and he was sent back to the Bidens’ Delaware home for coaching.
The Bidens, once consulting with a dog trainer, animal behaviorists, and veterinarians, determined to follow the experts’ collective recommendation and send Major to measure in an exceedingly quieter atmosphere with family friends, LaRosa said last month.
