Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro (Japanese: イジらないで、長瀞さん) is a Japanese web manga series written and illustrated by Nanashi. The manga has been published in Magazine Pocket by Kodansha since 01 November, 2017. Twelve volumes have been released as of December 2021. This manga has been adapted to an anime television series by Telecom Animation Film which aired from April to June 2021. The anime’s official twitter account announced a second season in October 2021.

Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro also known as Don’t bully me, Notoro-san is a romantic comedy between a shy nerd and a sadistic tsundere. When an introverted Naoto Hachiouji meets the freshman girl Hayase Nagatoro, his life takes a drastic turn. After finding him working on his manga in the library, Nagatoro reads his work. She teases him that his character is braver than him which makes him cry. Amused by his awkward demeanor, she starts to toy with him, purposely calling him senpai just to tease him.
Since that day, a chain of events begins in their high school life. Nagatoro’s relentless antics leave him feeling embarrassed more than anything. Though her frequent teasing is bothersome, he forces himself to cater to her whims. Every day, he puts up with her bullying because he’s in love with her. As they spend more time together, Naoto realizes that life with Nagatoro can be fun. What starts as a strange sort of friendship blossoms into something more lively and beautiful.
The manga continues to receive mixed reviews. But the viewers have come to see the development from bullying to the improvising character of Nagatoro as the series progresses. It has been nominated as the Best Animation and Best Comedy. In November 2019, the manga had sold over one million copies in Japan, and surpassed 1.2 million in mid-July 2020.
