Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan is a Japanese manga series written and drawn by him. Since April 2021, it has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service, and its chapters have been compiled into two tankobon volumes as of October 2021.
n this Japanese series, Momo Ayase is a high school student who always believes in ghosts but not aliens at all, although her classmate Okarun believes in both. In a bet to see who is right, they plan to visit places connected with both the occult and the supernatural, with Ayase going to the former and the kid going to the latter.
When they finally get to their separate locations, they discover that none of them was wrong and that the occult and ghosts both existed in the real world.
About the Series:
Momo Ayase is one of the major characters of the manga series Dandadan in this well-known Japanese series. After becoming friends with Ken Takakura, an alien believer whom she refers to as “Okarun” (due to his refusal to be called by the same name as the actor she idolizes), Ayase wishes to assist him in restoring his body to normal after being cursed by a yokai and must overcome other paranormal activities.
Her admiration for Ken Takakura is Ayase’s most notable personality (the actor). She is a devoted admirer who has been infatuated to the point where she only dates her ex-boyfriend because he looks like the star. Later in the series, when Ayase discovered that an alien-obsessed kid at her school had the same name as the actor, she refused to accept it and had no option but to make up a new name to address him.
After her parents died, Ayase was sent to live with her grandmother, who was a Spirit Medium who connected herself with spirits. She had been childhood friends with Jiji and had formed a crush on him at some time. Ayase was obliged to undergo a daily routine to bring her good luck when out in public by her grandma.
