Animal Kingdom Season 5 Episode 8 is expected to be released this next coming Sunday which is August 29, 2021, at 9:00 pm on the streaming service TNT.

Animal Kingdom is an American drama television series created by Jonathan Lisco. It is the 2010 adaptation of the Australian film of the same name by David Michôd. Even the series is directed and executively produced by Michod with Liz Watts who also produced the movie and series.

Animal Kingdom premiered on June 14, 2016, on TNT, and was renewed for a fifth season in January 2021. The leading role of Janine “Smurf” Cody in the first four seasons has been played by Ellen Barkin but, in the movie, it was played by Jacki Weaver in 2010.

What Has Happened

The plot revolves around a 17-year-old named J-Cody whose mother dies due to a drug overdose in a beach resort in Southern California. He then moves in with Cody’s who’s actually a criminal clan led by Smurf.

They are actually his easy-going relatives. Janine “Smurf” Cody is the head of the team alongside Baz, who is in charge of the family’s affairs, Pope, the eldest, Craig, the resilient, and Deran, the youngest.

J also has a longtime girlfriend, with Baz’s de facto wife, Catherine along with the mother of their 3-year-old daughter, Lena, who all play their parts in this series.

As the story develops, Josh gets more and more intrigued and attracted by their family’s luxurious lifestyles and extravagance. However, he eventually discovers that all this money comes from illegal errands run but his family behind closed doors. He is also in shock and is very moved by how things are going to change around him now that he knows.
