The Academy Awards also known as the 0scars is one of the latest meets of Hollywood elites. It is given to the best movies in different fields for their outstanding work. Many directors work their entire life just to get nominated for these prestigious awards. And if you won Oscar for your particular field, Your work is considered the best among the best. It always put you in the spot of recognizable faces.
Even foreign movies compete to get a taste of the Oscars. Last year Parasite had the honor of receiving both foreign and best movies in the Oscars. And after that the spike in the world watching Korean movies gets high.
THIS YEAR’S REPORT:
This year because of Corona Virus, there will be no large gathering of the large crown of the Red carpet in Los Angeles. but unlike other award shows, it won’t be on zoom too. There will be an event but it would be very small. The only celebrities that would be invited are the actors or the artists who are getting a nomination in the Oscars. This was clarified by the producer of the Oscars last week which sparked a lot of tweets on Twitter.
And also those who are invited will be tested and after their reports say negative, they will be allowed to enter the premises. Also for everyone’s safety, there will be a couple of safety teams who will be COVID-19 special, would be present on the ground at all times, so that if anything goes sideways, there won’t be panic in the award ceremony.
There are some great nominations this year in the Oscars including, Mank by David Fincher with the highest number of Oscars this year i.e., 10. Then we have The Father by Florian Zeller, and Judas and the Black Messiah by Shaka King, which tells the story of the legendary Black Panther Party. In the foreign film category, Minari by Lee Isaac Chung is nominated. Sound of Metal by Darius Marder has also been nominated and The Trial of Chicago 7 by Aaron Sorkin has also received the nomination.
