One of the most awaited movies of this year is the director’s cut of Justice League also known as Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Fans of DC Extended Universe are waiting for this movie since the original cut of Joss Whedon was immensely criticized as a bad movie and hence bombed at the box office.
But because of the huge response for the original version from the fans of both, the iconic characters as well as the fans of Zack Snyder. So at last, Last year Warner Brothers announced the Snyder’s cut of Justice League. Critics are saying that Warner Brothers saw this as an opportunity to earn money from the fandom of the director.
ORIGINAL ONE:
The original Justice league failed at the box office as well as failed to resonate with fans because it was just a bad movie. There’s no other explanation to it. Zack Snyder left the project in the middle because of this daughter committing suicide and he did not want to waste his energy fighting for creative freedom in Justice League.
After he left, Warner Brothers hired the director of Avengers, Joss Whedon to complete the movie. Joss Whedon who directed the Avengers, a relatively light-themed movie than Justice League, and because of the change of tone in between and fast reshoots, the movie turned out to be garbage.
STORY OF THE NEW ONE:
We all know the story of the Justice League. The cut of Joss Whedon was 2 and a half hours long. The story of Zack Snyder is going to be the same. But this one is almost 1 and a half hours longer than Joss Whedon, So we are expecting more character depth, a focus on the villain, and an emotional attachment with the characters which was absent from the last one.
The story will be the same in many aspects but the director Zack Snyder just confirmed that there is a huge cliffhanger in the end. Now if I remember clearly, the old one had no cliffhanger. The movie ended with the story. There was continuation for the Universe but no major Cliffhanger. But it is going to be in this one.
