Doctor Strange 2: Chris Evans Returning as Captain America with Benedict Cumberbatch:

MCU was started in 2008 with their first movie Iron Man. We have come a long way in this cinematic universe with almost 23 movies in a single franchise with TV shows and Animated series.

In stand-alone movies, one of the most acclaimed movies by critics is Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange, released way back in 2016. It was a huge success at the box office with more than 500 million dollars worldwide collection made at the expense of 230 million dollars. It had a huge star cast such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS AND IT’S RELEASE DATE:

Doctor Strange later reappeared in Thor Ragnarok, Infinity War, and End game. However, small the screentime was, the role was very important to set up the next phase. Now MCU is going ahead with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It will revolve around the search for one of the infinity stones he possessed, the time stone. We will also see Rachel McAdams with a more serious role in this part.

The movie was supposed to releases last year i.e 2020 but was shelved because of the Corona Virus pandemic and also an internal conflict of the director over creative freedom in the movie. The movie is now set to release on the 7th of May, 2021.

THE ROLE OF CHRIS EVANS:

The rumor has it that Chris Evans is playing two roles in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The first will be as the captain of the HYDRA of course in a Parallel universe because the movie is set like it. And the second can be the role of Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four. Disney has the rights of this character now and they can fulfill what fans wished for a long time.
