Rumours are part of the entertainment industry. Every celebrity is surrounded by lots of rumours and many aren’t even true.
Right now there are rumours that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are back together after they parted their ways in 2019. Both stars were highly secretive and protective about their relationship as they dated for four long years secretly from April 2015 to June 2019.
They broke up in 2019
In the middle of 2019, a source told Entertainment Tonight the reason behind their break up. The source said, “Irina truly had high hopes for their future together and felt once the baby was born they would find the time to marry but that never came to fruition. She wanted more from Bradley in every way. But she was unhappy and felt he spent too much time working. Recently Irina decided enough is enough. She didn’t feel she was getting the level of commitment she wanted and the endless fighting made their life unbearable.”
The soruce later added,”They are very different people and once they realized it was the bay that was holding them together, it was time to call it quits. They haven’t been getting along for quite some time and seemed to be holding on to their relationship for the sake of their daughter. Those closest to them had high hopes that when Bradley completed promoting A Star is Born, they would find time to work out their differences, but things only got worse. Some of their friends feel they never truly got a chance to know each other outside of being a family, and it was just all too much too fast.”
The American actor and the model did break up and it was sad but for four years they had a beautiful and they have a baby girl together.
So let’s go and see how they met and how all of this started.
Bradley and Irina’s relationship
– In 2015 these two got out from a long term relationship and the moment was perfect as they were single again and were ready to mingle. They were first spotted together in New York at the Broadway production of Finding Neverland. After NY the couple attended many events like the dinner party at the white house and also Met Gala.
In May 2015 it was clear that they are dating as they openly kissed in London. A source told US Weekly that, “They’ve known each other for a while. They have a good time together.” In August they went to Italy together and spent some quality time on an Italian beach. In September 2015 the Russian model met the Grammy winner’s mum Gloria Campano.
A source told E! News that, “Irina is just so happy how things are going with Bradley. She adores his mother and they get along great.”
In November A Star is Born star moved into the model’s New York apartment.
– Fast forward to 2016 they fall more in love and their bond was stronger than before. In March 2016 the beautiful couple made their red carpet debut at a Paris Fashion Week party.
At the same time duo also attended the Opera for the Arop Charity Gala.
In May 2016 the couple gave one more public appearance as they appeared together in Met Gala.
July wasn’t good for them as they were seen fighting and arguing during the 2016 Wimbledon men’s final.
In November 2016 Us Weekly revealed that the couple is expecting their first child together. Her baby bump was visible when she walked in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in Paris.
In December 2016 rumours started flying around that the Victoria secret model and actor are engaged as Shayk was seen wearing a ring.
– In March 2017 the couple welcomed their first child together it was a baby girl. The couple named their newly born daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper.
In July and in October the couple with their daughter spent some family together.
– In May 2018 the couple once again graced the red carpet of the Met Gala in NY.
In September 2018 in an interview with NPR, the Hangover star opened about her newborn daughter as he said, “I guess having a child, and having a family of my own- which is a miracle and something I’ve always dreamt of- has opened me up even more. I guess, to the day, and to be present. That’s the thing I want my daughter to have- I just always want her to feel loved.”
In October rumours started circulating that they are having a tough time in their relationship as a source told Page Six that, “They are miserable together. They have been for months. He doesn’t drink and is into spirituality. She wants to go out.” All these rumours fade away in December when they did a family outing at Disney.
– In January 2019 Shayk and Cooper attended the Golden Globe together and they looked lovely and beautiful together.
In February 2019 the Oscar award nominee won a BAFTA award for his work in A Star is Born and in a speech, he said, “I need to thank Irina for putting up with me while I was trying to make music in our basement for a year.”
In February the beautiful model opened about the need for privacy in her life with Glamour UK. The Russian said, “I have a lot of friends who share a lot of their personal life on Instagram or social media, very publicly. I admire it and I think its great but I think it’s all about personal choice. Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet. That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family, and I feel happy with it.”
In 2017 in an interview with Howard Stern Cooper also said that he likes to keep his relationship private and away from the public eyes.
Later in February 2019, the couple was spotted once again on the red carpet but this time 2019 Oscars.
In May 2019 Shayk alone attended the Met Gala because Cooper was busy and he was working in LA.
In June 2019 many magazines came forward and confirmed that the couple went on their separate ways after four years. The Sun, E! News, Us Weekly and People one after another confirmed that the couple split up in June.
– In January 2020 the gorgeous model opened about her relationship with Bradley to British Vogue as she said, “I think in all good relationships, you bring your best and your worst- it’s just the nature of a human being. Two great people don’t have to make a good couple. I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other.”
She then added,”Life without B is new ground. It’s hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider. Trust me, there are days I wake up and I’m like, ’Oh, my God, I don’t know what to do. I’m falling apart.’”
It was very sad that these two weren’t able to make their relationship work and all the rumours that were saying that they are back together aren’t true.
