The original avengers will hardly return together in phase 4 of MCU. The contracts of Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans with Marvel have already ended. But there are slight chances that these superstars might return to their own superhero self. Here are all the details.
Robert Downey Jr Returning or Not
Last month rumors started spreading actor Chris Evans, who played Captain America is in talks with Marvel to return as a supporting role. It was convinced that Evans will come back through Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness movie. Similarly, rumors were spread involving Robert Downey Jr too.
As we all know, in Avengers Endgame Downey’s Iron Man sacrificed his life to save the universe. But fans are speculating that Downey can and will return as an A.I voice. Well it doesn’t seem impossible.
However, Chris Evans’s roles are rumored to be the Hydra version of Captain America and Human Torch from Fantastic Four. Evans has already portrayed Human Torch aka Johnny Storm in 2 Fantastic Four movies. It was before he landed the role of Captain America. Though this news are still not confirmed. Fans have to wait for any official announcement from Marvel.
Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness
The upcoming movie will be the 2nd part of the Doctor Strange franchise. Marvel had announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con that Elizabeth Olsen will join the cast of Doctor Strange. She will reprise her role of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. Benedict Cumberbatch will also reprise his titular role of sorcerer supreme.
Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness: this title itself suggests that the film will show the consequences of different universes. That might include Captain America, Iron Man, and other MCU characters to show some glimpses. Till now no spoilers are available regarding the movie.
Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness has started shooting in the UK. Due to COVID pandemic the shooting was stopped for some time. The estimated release date is 2022.Sam Raimi will direct the movie. Doctor Strange will also play a cameo role in Spider Man 3.
