Lost in Space Season 3 Release Date

‘Lost in Space’ is a popular TV series based on the 1812 novel ‘The Swiss Family Robinson’. The series is actually a reincarnation of the 1965 series of the same name. Lost in Space has total seasons of 2 to date, season 3 is all to set to release in 2021.

Lost in Space’s first season premiered in 2018, then the second season came a year later in 2019.

Naturally, the 3rd season is expected to be released in 2020, the shooting started in March too. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the shooting stopped. Later in September 2020 the shooting finally began.

Netflix declared the third season to be the final one. Currently, it’s in post-production, the rumored release dates are January 2021. Now only Netflix can break the suspense sooner or later.

Lost in Space Storyline

Lost in Space’s plot is set 30 years in the future, where colonization among other planets in space is a real thing. The story focuses on Robinson’s family members, who are selected to colonize the Centauri star system.

The real reason behind the colonization is the human survival crisis. The story follows an alien robot force, which leads them to evacuate the Resolute or mother-ship and crash on another planet.

Irwin Allen’s Lost in Space 1st season premiered in April 2018. The show has faced massive popularity since its release. The over the top graphics, visual presents, brilliant cast and eye-catching storyline of the series helped it to gain such a fan following.

The second season ended with a cliffhanger, where Robinson’s kids are seen separated from their parents in a different part of the space. The show finally introduced the long-lost ship the Fortuna, and the commander of the ship, and Judy’s biological father Grant Kelly. In the end, June Harries aka Dr.Smith is seen fighting the robots then dies but her body is not found.

Now the 3rd season being the finale, might unlocked the mysteries- Maureen and John reunion with their children, the death mystery of Dr. Smith, and the culprits who sent the human-made signal from Jupiter 2 to Fortuna.

Reportedly the main cast members Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Maxwell Jenkins, and Mina Sandwell will reprise their roles, with other supporting cast members Parker Posey, Ignacio Serricchio, and more.
