The new anime season, Winter 2021, is just around the corner and we’ve got multiple worth-watching new and returning titles coming our way. Animes have been an integral part of the pop-culture with over millions of fans all over the world. The streaming platforms like Funimation and Crunchyroll has announced the anticipated Winter 2021 lineup.
The list of anime arriving at the streaming services and airing on the Japanese network is huge. But, we will be talking about the animes with the follow-up season that will debut this winter season. The list of returning animes during this season include dark-fantasy thriller, The Promised Neverland and sci-fi adventure Dr Stone. These anime television series debuted back in 2019 and quickly gained amazing popularity.

The Promised Neverland Season 2

The Promised Neverland anime series is equally popular as its manga counterpart. CloverWorks adapted the anime series and premiered the first season in 2019, which quickly garnered dedicated fandom. The dark-fantasy thriller takes place in the future and features a group of orphaned children allowed complete liberty within the orphanage’s gate. However, one day the children — Emma and Norman — discover a creepy and chilling dark secret about the orphanage.
The orphans are raised healthily and later they are butchered so that they can be sold as meat to demons and monsters. Emma and Norman then start plotting the escape from the orphanage with her children in the orphanage. The upcoming season will feature the children’s adventure in the outside world following their successful escape in the first season finale. The Promised Neverland Season 2 will return to your screen on January 7, 2021.
Slime Isekai Season 2

The other anime in the list is the second season of adventure fantasy series, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. A young man of age 37, Satoru Mikami, living a normal life in Tokyo gets reincarnated in the new world following his death. Mikami wakes up in the new world and acquires a powerful ability called Predator, which helps him to mimic and obtain the power of anything he devours.
However, the reincarnation appearance of Mikami is of a slime. He meets with the strongest storm dragon, Veldora inside a cave and becomes friends with it. Mikami tells that he will unseal the dragon and in return, Mikami receives a new name — Rimuru Tempest, which grants him immense power. Rimuru creates his kingdom with the help of his new dwarf, goblin, Direwolves, and ogres friends and rule over it. The new season will start streaming from January 12, 2021, which will further split into two cours.
The Seven Deadly Sins Season 4

The Seven Deadly Sins will return to your screens this Winter season with the fourth season titled, Dragon’s Judgement. The fourth season will serve as the sequel season to 2019’s The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods. TV Tokyo previously planned to begin the airing of the fourth season in October 2020 but delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new season will start airing on the respective network and streaming platform on January 6, 2021.
In the previous season, Meliodas revealed his true demonic form and assumes as the true leader of the ten commandments. This unexpected twist will surely have major changes in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the seven deadly sins and the team of the Holy Knights will go to rescue Elizabeth from Estarossa. The upcoming season will be the final arc of the story and reveal the true enemy of the action-adventure anime series.
Dr. Stone Season 2
Ever since the finale episode of this post-apocalyptic adventure anime series aired, fans were looking forward to the release of the second season. The fans don’t need to wait a long time to witness the battle between the Kingdom of Science and the Empire of Might. Dr Stone’s new season, which is officially titled as Dr Stone Stone Wars will debut on January 17, 2021.
In the previous season, the 18-year-old genius Senku Ishigami woke up in a post-apocalyptic world after 3,700 years. The worlds’ population was petrified mysteriously 3,700 years ago and Senku after waking up embark on a journey to restore humanity. He later revives Tsukasa Shishio, who wants to start a new world based on power including only the young instead of corrupt adults. The upcoming season will feature the battle between Senku’s Science Kingdom and Tsukasa’s Might Kingdom.
