OnePlus had unveiled the OnePlus 8T last week. The OnePlus 8T is the successor of the OnePlus 8. It brings little upgrades over the OnePlus 8. The device has now arrived in the US and it’s priced at $749 for the 12+256GB variant.
OnePlus 8T specifications
This device has a 6.55-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary camera. The device is powered by Snapdragon 865 and has a 4,500mAh battery. One of the best things about the device is that it comes with a 65W charger in the box. In a world, where companies are not offering chargers, this is really a treat.
OnePlus 8T is priced at 3699 Yuan in China, which when converted to US dollars is just $553. But, the phone is priced at $799 in the USA. iPhone 12 costs just $50 more. And Samsung S20 FE costs $700. So, what I am trying to say is that for a mobile-like the 8T, $799 is not a great price in a market that is filled with competitors offering similar features at a similar range.
Anyways, more OnePlus phones are coming this year. OnePlus will launch two more phones in their Nord lineup. These will be budget-focused offerings from OnePlus. And let’s hope OnePlus this time prices these mobiles right.
