Galaxy A72, the successor to A71, will be having a five-camera setup at the rear. This will make it the first Samsung phone to do so. The mobile might launch later this year.
According to the reports, the device will have a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. Some rumors also suggested that there would be OIS on board too.
The Galaxy A71 already has 4 cameras. And Samsung could easily borrow the 8MP telephoto camera from its other phones. Some other reports also said that the mobile will have a 32MP selfie camera.
The A-series has always been Samsung’s test bench for multiple cameras. A7 had a triple setup and A9 a quadruple. Now A72 is going to have Samsung’s first Penta-camera setup. It won’t be the first in the world, as Nokia 9 PureView had it for the first time. But let’s hope that Samsung manages to do it better than them.
