The 10 Least Desirable Mustangs Ever! Why Are They The LEAST Fan Favorite, What Could’ve Been Improved?

The Ford Mustang is a car series of American automobiles, manufactured by none other than Ford. It is one of the longest produced cars since it has been produced since 1964. It is currently manufacturing its sixth generation of cars and also is the fifth-best car series sold by the Ford brand. The well knows Mustangs are usually identified by the long hood, short deck proportions. It was developed for the highly-styled line of sporty coupes, and convertibles. It was derived from the existing design marks.

After Mustang being so wildly successful, other companies came up with their versions of Mustangs to boost their sales. American manufactures manufactured cars like the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird (1967), AMC Javelin (1968), and Dodge Challenger(1970). The Ford Mustangs affected in regards to the designs worldwide. The design effect led to the cars Toyota Celica and Ford Capri in the United States.

Since Ford has been producing Mustangs for so long, it makes sense that they’ve developed a lot on their car manufacturing journey. But at the same time, they have not learnt a few things. These mistakes led to the production and manufacturing of the least desirable Mustang cars. We’ve listed down a few as well!

The Least Desirable Mustang Cars:

10. Ford Mustang 170-CID

Ford Mustang 170-CID Front

This was one of the most initial cars that Mustang had launched. The initial launches had a 170-CID straight-six engine making a pathetic 101 hp, with manual drum brakes all around and a 3-speed manual transmission.

These cars were and still are when used, painfully slow. They’re gorgeous, no doubt. Just in case you’re looking for an early mustang, go for V8.

This car was introduced in 1969 and was sold for long. It was sold until the year 1973. This car was only available as a coupe and was an upscale Mustang. In simpler words, it was a regular mustang, but a lot more luxurious. It also had the option of having an odd-looking vinyl roof.

The only reason Mustang was never a popular collectors car, is because it never had the perfect muscle car look which caused it to not be popular. Only if it had a better look, it would not be on this list.

8. Ford Mustang E

Ford Mustang E Front

This car was meant to be a collectors special edition, with only 50 cars made in this entire world. But that wasn’t the case when it was launched. Although it was extremely rare, hardly any of the collectors know about this car. The ‘E’ in the car stands for the word ‘Economy’. This particular car was designed with one of the most economical things- fuel efficiency in mind.

The reason it is not desirable is that it is equipped with low compression six-cylinder, 2.33:1 differential, and no power option. It was slow, uninspiring, and underpowered. And that is the reason it is not desirable.

The 2.3-litre turbo or the ancient V8, all other engine options were, quite frankly, very dull. The 3.3-litre, six-cylinder, was one of those very dull engines. With 86 hp on tap, it was unloved from the very beginning, and that is why it is not desirable today, and therefore on this list.

5. The Ford Mustang LX 2.3

Ford Mustang LX 2.3 Front Side

The  4.0-liter V6 was too slow and underpowered for the image. With 210 hp on tap, this V6 didn’t make the Mustang gallop. This made the public lose intrest and also the reason this car is on this list.

1. Ford Mustang S550 V6

The Ford Mustang S550 V6 Front

This car was the prevous car revamped. It wasnt slow, it loked good, and it had 380hp. It was the fastest 4.6-liter V8 from a few years back. Despite all of this this car, still landed on this list, and the real question is why.
