FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: REMASTERED EDITION PLAYERS IN AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND ARE UNABLE TO PLAY ONLINE

Remastered Edition makes it difficult for everyone to play online no matter where they live. But the situation appears to be much worse for those in Australian and New Zealand. For any reason, Australian and New Zealanders are unable to get into online games for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Remastered Edition. If the countries can manage to hop in on a game, it disconnects just a few seconds later. But this is not an issue specific to the Switch, either. It looks as if to be impacting all versions of the game.

Due to the phrasing, it’s currently not clear whether this region-locking is specific to multiplayer as a whole. Or exclusive to the matchmaking system. if the latter is true playing with faraway will be possible friends through the invite system may not have the same restrictions.

The US region has released the game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as of midnight EST, August 27th. Players in areas closer to the west of the International Date Line, such as Japan, Australia, and New Zealand will likely be able to start playing the game earlier than those in other countries.

RELEASE DATE AND PRICE

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is set to be released digitally on August 27, 2020.

The PlayStation 4 version is available to pre-order on the PlayStation Store starting July 30, 2020. Pre-orders also come with an exclusive theme. For the mobile versions, iOS and Android. It is also set to be released on August 27, 2020, with the disclaimer that the release timing is subject to change.
