Will there be another season of Down to Earth with Zac Efron?
The first season was released on Netflix on July 10, 2020. It spanned 8 episodes and showed Efron exploring places like Iceland, France, Puerto Rico, Peru, Costa Rica, and Sardinia. He learned about clean energy, eco-friendly farming practices, traditional wellness rituals, and more on his journeys.
The show was renewed for a second season in June 2021. Season 2 premiered on Netflix on November 11, 2022. It also has 8 episodes featuring Efron continuing his travels to new destinations like London, Antartica, Lima, Sarangani Province, and Ubud in Bali.
So far, Netflix has not made any announcements regarding a third season renewal for Down to Earth with Zac Efron. However, considering the show’s popularity and Efron’s star power, there’s a good chance the streaming service will want to continue the series.
If Down to Earth does get renewed for Season 3, fans can probably expect it to release sometime in late 2023 or 2024. The gap between Seasons 1 and 2 was around 16 months, so a similar time frame seems likely for new episodes.
What happened to Zac Efron jaw surgery?
However, Efron has not directly addressed or confirmed ever having jaw surgery. Other reports indicate his shifted jaw and facial features could have been from natural aging in his early 30s or perhaps weight changes. Efron also suffered a broken jaw back in 2013 which required wiring that conceivably altered bone structure.
But whether from surgery, injuries recovery, maturity or other factors - Efron overall seems comfortable with his looks these days. He comes across very genuine and joyful discovering wellness wisdom during his travels in Down to Earth regardless.
Is Dylan Efron in Down to Earth?
In terms of what places Efron might visit next, he hasn’t dropped any hints. Both existing seasons took him to a diverse array of locales though, so Season 3 could realistically go almost anywhere. Some speculate potential destinations like New Zealand, Japan, India, Brazil, Egypt, Kenya or even back to more spots in the United States.
While Zac Efron is clearly the main star of the show, his younger brother Dylan Efron did make cameo appearances in both seasons of Down to Earth so far. In Season 1, Dylan showed up during the episode in Sardinia. He joined Zac and Darin as they stayed on a self-sufficient farm, learned about local cuisine and discussied the Blue Zones philosophy.
When did Zac Efron Down to Earth come out?
So in summary - while nothing is yet official, there’s a strong chance Netflix will want to continue Down to Earth with Zac Efron for a third season sometime within the next 1-2 years. Zac will undoubtedly remain the charismatic star and there’s no definitive word on if brother Dylan might make more cameos or not.
Release dates will depend on production schedules. As for Zac’s jaw, he has chosen not comment publicly on any surgery rumors. But the show represents his quest for purpose and sustainable living in an honest, optimistic way that resonates with viewers.
