Fourth of July is considered auspicious in the United States as it was on this day in the year 1776, when Congress signed the Declaration of Independence of the United States, thereby giving freedom to the country from British rule. Thus, the 4th of July marks the Independence Day of the US. Furthermore, the fireworks signify the celebration and pomp of the Americans on that day.

Previously, the newly crowned royal, King Charles III, allowed the Band of the Welsh Guards to perform Tina’s hit song “The Best” during the changing of the guard in front of Buckingham Palace on Friday. Thus, the king paid a royal tribute to Tina Turner after her death.

Ashanti, Bebe Rexha, Ja Rule, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and LL Cool J featuring DJ Z-Trip & the Roots will all perform during the show at Macy’s. In addition, the broadcast will feature a flyover along the California coastline conducted by an all-female flight crew to celebrate the 50th anniversary of women flying in the Navy.

The 47th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will air July 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and stream on Peacock.
