What is the LG curved screen all about?

The display can be preordered beginning on December 12 for the listed price of $1,699.99. By December 28th, LG hopes to have this display in customers’ hands. We don’t know much about MSI’s upcoming LG Curved Screen Project 491C curved QD-OLED gaming monitor. Still, we know it will have 49-inch display “proportions and Ultra-High-Quality High-Definition (UWQHD) resolution.

From its bezels, this monitor has a sleek, modern design reminiscent of a gaming console. Given MSI’s reputation for quality, it has a substantial stand and probably has the RGB Illumination found on the company’s higher-end gaming monitors.

MSI is remaining tight-lipped about this matter. The only known fact is that this display won an Innovation Award from CES before the event.

The company has already won the “Innovation” award for LG Curved Screen Project 491C and plans to provide more details at CES 2023. It’s a given that the high quality of this QD-OLED gaming display will come at a high price. The MEG 342C, a 34-inch QD-OLED gaming display from MSI, offers a UWQHD (3440×1440) panel with support for a 175Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms reaction time for those who want a more measured approach.
