Doron Dororon is a Japanese manga series, featuring the genre of dark fantasy. The series is written and illustrated by Gen Oosuka. The series was first published in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine on 29 November 2021. Later, it was published on Viz Media for its English release. The series is still ongoing.

The story takes place in a world where humans are under the threat of Mononoke. They’re a plague to humanity, so evil and unkind. As a promise to his late mother, the main character Dora pledges to become a Samurai (a human with supernatural power) that fights against these monsters. But the lack of his powers is a disadvantage. So, when he meets a kind Mononoke named Kusanagi, he wields him as his power. A world where its humans against monsters!
Here, the character of Dora is almost similar to Black Cover’s Asta that trains day and night to gain power. However, this series is entirely different from Black Cover if we look at the plot.
