Netflix’s Along for the ride: Everything you need to know. Along for the ride is the upcoming netflix drama movie directed by Sofia Alvarez. It is  based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Dessen.

Sofia Alvarez has previously directed movies like ‘To all the boys i jave loved before’ and Eric Andre FXX series Man Seeking Woman. They all are romcoms.

Along For The Ride: Plot

The movie  has a preety romance lessons about self-acceptance and accepting others, and asks if people can change.

The story is about  Auden West, who never sleeps at night due to her parents’ continuous fighting when she was in high school. Before going to college, Auden decides to spend her summer before college with her father and his new wife and baby.

As the story continues she  learns that second chances are possible and questions if people can truly change.

Along For The Ride: Release Date 

The movie will release on 22nd April, 2022.

Along For The Ride: Cast

Rhe cast of along  for the ride includes Kate Bosworth, Laura Kariuki, Andie MacDowell, Dermot Mulroney, Emma Pasarow and Belmont Cameli.

Emma Pasarow will be the main protagonist, Auden, while Belmont Cameli will be playing her love interest, Eli.

Andie MacDowell  will play Auden’s mother, Kate Bosworth  her stepmother Heidi and Dermot Mulroney as Auden’s father.

Other supporting roles include:

  • Genevieve Hannelius as Leah
  • Samia Finnerty as Esther
  • Paul Karmiyan as Adam

Also, the filming for Along for the ride began on April 22, 2021, in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, and will continue in Wilmington, Kure Beach and Oak Island. Production for the film is expected to be over by June 4, 2021. Most of the scenes are shot in the night due to the story demand.
