Earlier today, ‘Stay Alive,’ the OST for popular webtoon 7 Fates: Chakho dropped, causing ARMY to swoon over the magical masterpiece created yet again. Produced by SUGA of BTS, and vocals by Jungkook (정국) of BTS, the track is a call for perfectionism.
BTS Webtoon: 7 Fates Chakho
BTS‘ 7 Fates: Chakho is an urban fantasy inspired by the Joseon Dynasty’s tiger-hunters called Chakhogapsa (hence the subtitle “Chakho”), as well as Korean folklore.
The story takes place in a dangerous and corrupt city in the near future called Sin-si. It tells the story of seven boys who are united by destiny. Through trials and obstacles, they learn to trust, and make a team to fight against the Beom.
HYBE, formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment, announced their own original Webtoon ‘7 Fates’ with BTS, along with ENHYPHEN’s ‘Dark Moon’ and TXT’s ‘The Star Seekers’ on November 04, 2021.
Stay Alive: A Magical Masterpiece
On February 05, Stay Alive was revealed with a 2-minute-long version through Episode 4 of the webtoon. Today, 11 February, at 2 PM KST, the long-awaited soundtrack for BTS Webtoon “7 Fates: Chakho” was released all over the world on all platforms.
After the release, SUGA who produced the track, posted on his Instagram with a thumbs up in the caption. When the track was first revealed on 5th of February, he even posted on Weverse saying, “The full version is even better… ☺”
Yet again, Producer SUGA leaves us with yet another masterpiece. The song beautifully captures the magical voice of Jungkook, raw, and rendered with the melodies perfectly. ARMY (BTS FANS) were very well aware that this would be a gem of a song. Their anticipation and excitement know no bounds when it comes to their 7 angels whom they adore. An ARMY on twitter said and I quote, “you did it again prod. suga and vocalist jungkook, another legend for the history books.”

Soon enough, it trended on twitter with “StayAlive_Chakho” hashtag under the category of K-pop along with various tags for Jungkook and SUGA.
Shortly after the release, the song broke several records. Though this is not something unachievable and new for BTS and ARMY as their records have always had been exceptional, it still is a reason to celebrate.
