Kingdom Hearts Collection Arrives on Nintendo Switch as Cloud Version

According to GameRant, Square Enix revealed a new look of the Kingdom Hearts Collection series which is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch platform through cloud gaming. What is Kingdom Hearts Collection?

Kingdom Hearts has quite a reputation amongst its fans and has garnered a huge following. Typically known for its confusing story, there are still loyal fans who continue to support the series. The games can basically be categorized as JRPG’s (Japanese Role-Playing Games).

Combining the universe of Square Enix and Disney, it follows the adventures of Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy. They travel through the worlds created by Disney and Pixar films in order to defeat the darkness and the evil Organization 13. The game series has received acclaim from fans who commend the series on its characterizations and world-building.

Kingdom Hearts Collection: Nintendo’s Announcement

Fans have long since wished for a Nintendo Switch Port for all the Kingdom Hearts games. This wish was consented to by the gaming company on Nintendo Direct where they showcased Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece. The compilation would include the HD collections of Kingdom Hearts along with Kingdom Hearts 3 and the DLC expansion Re: Mind.

The Sole Drawback

As fans see their long wish of seeing a Nintendo Switch Port of Kingdom Hearts finally arriving, there does seem to be a titular drawback. Since the games will be cloud-based, the consoles will always be needed to be connected to the internet in order to be played. GameRant reports that Square Enix is still “undecided” on the premise of creating native ports for the series on Nintendo Switch.

However, it’s not all bad for console users as the game is still playable but it WILL require a high-speed internet connection. With the addition of the Nintendo Switch console on the list, Kingdom Hearts has finally arrived on all platforms that support gaming.
