The story revolves around a young boy, Monkey D. Luffy, who is determined to become the king of pirates. He gets all his inspiration from his favorite childhood hero, Shanks, and in search of achieving the title, he goes on sale in the big blue ocean to find the hidden treasure in the East. He gathers up a crew to go in search of finding a one-piece. He makes a friend named Rorona Zoo whom he saved a few days back.

Their crew starts getting bigger with time. Name, a navigator, and a thief named Usopp join their group. The only thing left was for them to acquire possession of the ship so they get a ship named Going Merry. Once their ship became so damaged that it was not possible to repair so they got a new ship named Thousand Sunny. Various struggles come along away and in their journey, more crew members continued to join.
