Mieruko Chan is an horror based comedy series that is based on a manga of the same name that was written and illustrated by Tomoki Izumi. It has been originated in Japan. Mieruko Chan is directed by Yuki Ogawa and Takahiro Majima. The manga series was loved by millions of people and the same can be said for the anime adaptation even within few days of it’s first release.

Everything you need to know

The story revolves around Miko Yotsuya who is a regular high school going girl but with a not so fortunate ability of seeing ghost spirits. In the episode “Can You See Them?”, we see Miko fighting with her conscience and denying the fact that she has started seeing ghosts. It all started when an old women approached to her and asked if she could see her but she pretended to ignore her. She even saw an hand print on her mirror that nobody could see.

She could hear dogs barking at nothing and when she went home after the bus incident she saw a ghost in her bathroom. A man appeared before her explaining about the hand print. He also wanted to know if Miko could see him but she pretended to be clueless. At night she decided to keep salt in her room to scare away the bad spirits but soon she realized that didn’t work as the man was sleeping beside her. She then realized it was all real.
