Everything you need to know

In this manga, there are monsters known as Kaiju that are destroying the cities of Japan. To fight these monsters a Japanese Defense Force is brought into effect. Kafka Hibino wanted to join the Defense unit since childhood but he failed at his exam various times and now he works in a clean crew as a sweeper who gets rid of the dead bodies of Monster. Everything changes when a monster flies into his mouth turning him into Kaiju No. 8.

In the previous episodes, a member of the defense unit believed that even though Kafka was a monster, there has to be some humanity left in him that wants to work for his city’s protection. So, Isho decides to save him and use his powers to destroy other monsters by teaming him up with Gen Narumi, one of the strongest Kaiju fighters.
