American Rust is an American television drama series created by Dan Futterman based on the novel of the same name by Philipp Meyer. The series premiered on September 12, 2021, on Showtime. The genre of the series is drama.
The story follows the lives of a small town with big secrets. In an economically devastated Pennsylvania steel town, a complicated and compromised chief of police (Daniels) is forced to decide how far he’s willing to go when the son of the woman he loves is accused of murder.
This episode is titled ‘Happy Return’. In this episode, Harris continues his investigation of Novick’s murder. The town will celebrate a wedding, where Virgil will show up with his new girlfriend. Lee and her father might attend the event as well. Old feelings resurface as Lee and Billy run into each other. Isaac might show up at the wedding venue to have one last conversation with Billy. It remains to be seen what twists and turns take place as the story progresses.
