The story focuses on DI Annika Stranded who has recently moved from Norway and started working as a specialist in Marine Homicide Unit (MHU). However, it seems like Scotland hasn’t been easy on her. Annika has a sharp mind and she uses her intelligence in solving crimes like a super-cop but her teammates are rather cold towards her.
Annika is a single parent with a daughter Morgan who is 15 years old. Morgan is facing issues at her school making new friends and adapting to the new surroundings. Annika tries communicating with her daughter but fails to do so. She doesn’t want her daughter to feel like her mother is trying to control her life.
