That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime knew as TenSura or Slime Iseka is a Japanese light novel. It is written by Fuse and Mitz Vah did the illustrations. The serialization began between 2013 and 2016. On the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro. The same was adopted by Micro magazine. Which is 2014 published the first light volume. As of March 2021, 17 volumes of the same have been released.

On what Tensura or Slime Iseka is based on?

The series is based on the life of Satoru Mikami. Who is an ordinary 37- year-old cooperative, worker. He lives in Tokyo and is content with his monotonous life. He is single and has no love life. Later in the story, he is stabbed by his colleague. He hears an echo in his mind while succumbing to his injuries. The echo recites a series of command which makes no sense to him.

Later when he regains consciousness, he discovers that he is reincarnated as a Slime in the unfamiliar world. He gains new skills in particular he gets an ability called Predator. This allows him to mimic everyone’s skills and appearance and devour anything. Later he is friends with a dragon and promises to destroy the seal.

About Tensura or Slime Iseka anime series.

From 2 October 2018 until 19 March 2019 the light novel was adapted into an anime series. The series is animated by the Eight Bit. The same gets premiered on Tokyo MX. Yasuhito Kikuchi produced the series along with Atsushi Nakayama who is the assistant director. The first season consisting of 24 episodes aired between march, 2019 until November 2020. Airing of the second season began on 12 January and the same is getting aired.
