Seven Deadly Sins Cursed by Light is a Japanese animated fantasy film getting released on July 2, 2021. It is based on a manga titled the seven Deadly Sins. The manga series is written by Nakaba Suzuki.
The manga series was written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. The manga was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen from October 2012 until March 2020. The chapters are collected into 41 tankobon volumes.

The manga is based on the European Middle Ages and the 7 titular groups of knights’ that represent the seven deadly sins. The series was has been licensed by Kodansha USA and gets published in North America in English. The manga gets released on Crunchyroll in over 170 countries along with the publication in Japan.
An Anime series was produced based on the series by A -1 pictures. The series got released from October 2014 until June 2018 and completed two seasons. later the series was renewed for the third season by Studio Deen which ran from October 2019 until March 2020. The fourth season of the series was produced which got released in January 2021.
English language streaming rights are with Netflix along with Funimation which has home video rights only for the first season. The Seven Deadly Sin: Cursed by light will be the second film in the series. The first film in the series was The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the sky which was premiered in August 2018.

The manga so far has sold 30 million copies and won the 39th Kodansha Manga Award in 2015 for the Shonen category.
Characters of the film are Meliodas voiced by Yuki Kaji, Elizabeth Liones voiced by Sora Amamiya, hawk voiced by Misaki Kuno, Diane voiced by Aoi Yuki, Ban Voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki, King voiced by Jun Fukuyama, Gowther Yuhei Takagi, Merlin Maaya Sukamoto, Escanor voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, Zeldris voiced by Yuki Kaji, Dahila Yuichi Nakamura, Dubs voiced by Shin’i’Chiro Kamio and Supreme Deity voiced by Kana Kurashina.
Takayuki Hamana directed the film at the studio, Deen. The script for the film is written by Rintaro Ikeda. The music is composed by Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano. The theme song is Sono Saki no Hikari written by Akihito Okano.
