Shiki Granbell, the protagonist of the story, is a boy who lives in a city full of robots, on a planet called Granbell. Shiki is the adopted grandson of Ziggy, the Demon King of Granbell Kingdom Theme Park, and the original leader of Edens Zero (The Interstellar warship).

Following a series of unforeseen events, Shiki is forced to leave the planet and roam in space. His mission is to find the creator of the universe, also known as Mother, and unravel the unfathomable secrets of space.
