One Piece is one of the most popular Japanese anime at present. It is based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The series is produced by Toei Animation.
The series first premiered in Japan on Fuji Television on October 20, 1999. It has aired for more than 950 episodes and is extremely famous all over the world. It has been exported to over 30 countries worldwide. It was originally only available in Japanese, but in 2004 an English dub was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment. Currently, Funimation has the license for the English dub version of One Piece.
One Piece Storyline:
The anime follows the story of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy who gains the physical properties of rubber in his body because he ate a Devil Fruit. His story aligns with that of Gol D. Roger, known to be one of the greatest pirates to ever sail the seas.
Before he died, he revealed the location of One Piece, which is considered to be the greatest treasure in the world. It is told that whoever finds One Piece would be considered the greatest Pirate King.

Luffy defies the typical pirates who have only one tooth and a hook for an arm— he is just a 17-year-old boy who simply likes going on adventures.
Following the footsteps of his childhood hero Shanks, he decides to go on an adventure to find One Piece. Along with his crew called ‘Straw Hat Pirates’, he sails across the Grand Line to find the One Piece and become the next Pirate King.
