Digimon Adventure is a Japanese anime series. It is the eighth anime series in the Digimon franchise and a reboot of the 1999 anime series. It is directed by Masato Mitsuka, and Hiroyuki Sakurada. The series is produced by Toei Animations studio and started airing on April 5, 2020.
The show was aired on Fuji TV in 2020. Digimon is a franchise that was started in 1997 as a series of virtual pets like ‘Tamagotchi’. It soon grew in popularity and turned into a franchise with various media like anime, manga, video games, and trading games. It is a very popular adventure and science fantasy show, similar to Pokemon.
Digimon Adventure Storyline:
The main premise of Digimon lies around seven kids, who are transported to a virtual Digital World that lies behind the world’s internet connection. The seven kids are transported into the Digital World, where they meet creatures called ‘Digimon’.

Each of the kids gets their own partner Digimon as well. The kids learn that they have been chosen to fight against evil Digimons that threaten to revive an ancient evil Digimon named Milleniumon.
Through various adventures, the seven kids try to stop the revival of Milleniumon by fighting various evil Digimons. They also learn about various aspects of growing up like making friends, being courageous, standing for one’s values, and such.
They also receive a Crest that highlights their strongest trait. The kids must now fight the evil Digimons and prevent them from entering the real world, as well as protect the Digital World.
Digimon Adventure Main Protagonists:
The main characters of the show are the seven kids who get transported to the Digiworld through the Digidevice that appeared before them. The seven main characters are Taichi “Tai” Kamiya, Yamato “Matt” Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Mimi Tachikawa, Koushiro “Izzy” Izumi, Joe Kido, and Takeru “T.K.” Takaishi. These characters also have their own paired Digimons, which help them in their journey.

They are guided by Kari Kamiya, Taichi’s sister, and her Digimon as well. Throughout the show, we are introduced to a wide variety of Digimons and other Digidestined and people in the Digiworld. The Digimon world is very interesting and vast and has various categories and subcategories which are explored.
Digimon Adventure Episode 60 Release Date and Where to Watch
The latest episode, Episode 60 is titled ‘Vikemon Ventures the Glaciers’, is scheduled to be released on August 8, 2021. It will first be released on Fuji TV in Japan, and users of platforms like Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Animelab can access it soon.
The new episode will show the kids preparing to face a new villain called Koishiro, and marks the end of the Chosen Ones.
