Numerous manga series and anime series have been produced and released in the past few years. Fire Force is one such manga series that is written and illustrated by Atsushi Okubo.
Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine is been serializing the manga. Ever since September 2015. The manga has been collected into 29 tankoboon volumes. As of June 2021. Kodansha USA has been made responsible for releasing the manga in English in parts of the US. It has been officially provided a license for doing the same.

David Production back in July 2019 adapted the manga into an anime series. The series was aired between July un December 2019. The MBS’s super Animeism block was airing the series until the series got renewed for the 2nd season. The second series too was aired between July till December 2020. Funimation was provided with the license for the second season of the anime series.

The series is based on an event that took place two hundred and fifty years ago that is considered 50 years before the Solar Year 0. The event is termed the Great Cataclysm. It is said that during these years the earth was set and fire and many nations were wiped out in the same. Post the even hardly very few areas were left which were inhabitable. The survivors went to Tokyo which was quite stable post-event though many of its landmasses too got wiped out.
The story revolves around the life of the third-generation pyrokinetic youth Shinra Kusakabe. He is nicknamed Devils Footprints due to his ability to ignite his feet at will. He was ostracized as a child because he was responsible for his mother and brother’s death.

So far around 276 chapters of the manga have been released and Fire Force Chapter 277 is scheduled for release on August 3rd, 2021 that is tomorrow.
The new chapter of the manga will be available online on readfireforce.com. Fans will have to wait to read the manga in English it will take some time to translate the manga into English. Fire Force chapters are also available on Kodanshacomics.com and Viz.com.
