The fans can finally be reassured to experience some new dragon adventures.
Kyoto Animation is returning with the second season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid directed under Tatsuya Ishihara and Takemoto as “series director”. The scripts would be supervised by Yuka Yamada, Masumi Itō as a music composer, Miku Kadowaki as character designer, and Nobuaki Maruki as chief animation director. Fhána’s “Ai no supreme!” as the opening theme and “Maid with Dragons” by Super Chorogons are the ending theme of the anime.

Where to watch?
Crunchyroll has confirmed that the anime is going to stream outside of Japan respectively and they described the anime as: “The wacky dragon maid is back again! A strange turn of events leads the dragon, Tohru, to work as Miss Kobayashi’s maid. She occasionally (that’s a lie, she often) causes trouble for her beloved Miss Kobayashi while blending into human society and splendidly (that’s a lie, only mediocrely) carrying out her maid duties. Her fellow dragons, Kanna, Lucoa, Fafnir, and Elma all find their places to fit in as well and enjoy interspecies interactions with the humans. Yet while they’re all enjoying that laid-back and occasionally turbulent left, the threat of a new Dragon swoops down upon Miss Kobayashi.”
The anime revolves around Miss Kobayashi and how she got entangled with a dragon by removing a sword from her back. Tohru, the dragon girl, transformed into a human and started working as a maid for Kobayashi to express her gratitude. Later on, she was accompanied by another dragon girl Kanna Kamui, working as her maid. Usually, Tohru’s unexpected way of helping ended up as a mess for Kobayashi.
The show’s second season is going to continue with these beautiful messes and intermingling of the Tohru’s species. Let’s see how the intervention of a new dragon would impact their lifestyle.
A teaser has recently been put online giving an idea about what the show was and how it will be going to continue. It also spots the other dragon fellow of Tohru like Fafnir, Lucoa, Kanna, and Elma, and how they are engaged in uproarious and raucous shenanigans involving love and battles.
Why was the second season delayed?
The second season was planned to release in 2019 directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto. But, unfortunately, on July 18, 2019, Kyoto animation Studio 1 was arson and killed 36 people while injuring 33 and he was one of several victims. Besides the pandemic, this incident has pushed the show considerably. Kyoto Animation has made a comeback and is going to handle the show.
