Release Date
The Slime Diaries has released total 12 episodes to date. The next episode or episode 13 release date is not announced yet. The 13th episode is speculated to be the 1st episode of the second season. The Slime Diaries makers have not announced any sequel but chances are positive. The Slime Diaries new season is expected to release in late 2021 to early 2022. The Slime Diaries first aired on April 6, 2021. And the season finale i.e. episode 12 aired on June 22, 2021.
The spin-off series originally names The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime. The series is produced by 8 –Bit. Yuji Ikuhara, Kotatsumikan is the director and scriptwriter of the series. The series character designers are Risa Takai and Atsushi Irie with music composer R.O.N. The Slime Diaries opening theme ‘Brand New Diary’ is sung by Akane Kumada and the ending theme ‘Kamona Tempest’ is sung by Miho Okasaki, Megumi Toyoguchi, Tomoko Maeno, and more. Also another ending theme ‘Oyasumi Orange’ is sung by Miho Okasaki.
Plot
The Slime Diaries aka Tensura Nikki: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken is a lightly related anime with the original story. Here Rimuru who has got reincarnated as a slime in his 2nd life is living a peaceful life with his monster friends. This show does not promote hardcore action as the original series. It’s more comedic and stress less as a plot. The series shows little enjoyable moments of Rimuru and his team.
In episode 12 titled ‘Enjoying New Year’s to the Fullest’ Rimuru and his friends are busy celebrating New Year. Rimuru is being worshipped by the people of Tempest. They respect them and join them to the celebration of New Year’s Eve. Shion prepares Rimuru to be dressed as deity. Rimuru gives lessons and advises all the people to write down their resolution in calligraphy and hand them in the wall. Trey also joins the celebration but at the end she warns Rimuru for future troubles.
However the upcoming season plot is still unknown. But it is expected that Rimuru will face new dangers in order to save Tempest and dive into many evil adventures. Fans have to wait for new announcements from the makers.
