Raptos:24-34 are presently standing 12th in the eastern conference. The present standings are definitely disappointing. If the team continues the 3-game winning streak that it is on, we might see them going to the playoffs. The upcoming games in this month are against nets, cavaliers and Knicks.
Last 10 games stats
Raptors: 6-4 and with a point average of 112.3, rebounds-44.5, assists-21.6, steals-9.8 and 6.6 blocks per game while shooting 46.9% from the field. With many players of the team injured or suspended, they haven’t performed great. They have won their last 3 games continuously after performing badly in the starting. They have stiff competition from the opponent teams for reaching the playoffs.
The signing of an NBA contract with Yuta
Yuta Watanabe, a player with Japanese origin, is assigned to the Raptors with an NBA contract. He will stay with the team for this whole season and the starting of the next year. He was previously playing on a two-way contract. Though he started slow, he has shown a lot of potential in both offense and defense. This 6 9′ guy is a great addition to the team and will greatly help them to score more with his well-balanced game.
New team uniforms
For this 2020-2021 season a mix of the teams old jersey ideas and a modern look has been adapted. These jersey designs pay a tribute to its 2019 win and its performance in the starting years. A brand new “earned edition” jersey in purple color made its debut in the match against golden state warriors on April 2. A special city edition has also been made. There are a total of 5 types of jerseys this year with 2 of them being special editions.
The star players of the team missed quite a few matches due to existing injuries. They are in the lineup for the game against the nets, which is good news for the fans. The team has played well in the previous 2 matches, even without the main players. Lowry, Siakam, Vanvleet and Anunoby will be back for Wednesday’s game. The Raptors were fined $25,000 for not following the league’s policy on resting players and injury report a few days ago.
