Motorola, the phone and related device manufacturing company has come up with its new smartphone Motorola Edge S. Here’s the detailed specification and expected price.
Specifications
Talking about the network connectivity of Motorola Edge S, it has GSM / CDMA / HSPA / CDMA2000 / LTE with 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. Weighing at 215 g it has a Hybrid Dual SIM slot (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) with a water repellent design.
The display is good enough as it has an IPS LCD, 90Hz, HDR10, 560 nits display with a screen size of 6.7 inches and an 84.1% screen-to-body ratio. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels with 409 PPI density.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 OS. It is powered by Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G (7 nm) chipset supported by an Octa-core processor (1×3.2 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 585) with Adreno 650 GPU.
Motorola Edge S comes in three storage variants– 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM. Apart from this, it also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot (shared sim slot) to expand the storage.
As far as the camera is concerned, it is pretty impressive as it has a quad camera–

The smartphone has a dual selfie camera– 16 MP, f/2.2, (wide), 1.0µm
8 MP, f/2.4, 100˚ (ultrawide), 1.12µm
Features include HDR. Also, it supports video recording at 1080p@30fps.
The sound output is decent. It has a loudspeaker. It also supports a 3.5mm jack. Other connectivity features of Motorola Edge S include– WLAN, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.1.
Motorola Edge S has a Fingerprint Sensor (side-mounted), Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity Sensor, and Compass. Browser: HTML5.
The battery life is good as it comes with a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery. It supports fast charging 20W.
Expected Price & Release Date
Motorola is currently available only in the Chinese market. The price for the Indian market has yet not been disclosed. However, it is expected that the base model will be priced somewhere around 23,000 INR.
Coming to its release date, Motorola is yet to release an official statement on that. The global release date is not yet unveiled. Although it is expected to make it to the Indian market by mid-May.
