Ingenuity, a small helicopter originally landed on Mars on February 18th, 2021. But was attached to the Perseverance rover. Finally, it will make its individual drive on Mars. It won’t be completely detached from the Rover so that it does not get lost. It will make its first flight in April 2021.
It will be a mission to test its flight campaign. Ingenuity weights over 1.8 kgs. The helicopter will make its flight five times on a 31 days test trial.
