Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City is going to be a treat for all the action and zombie apocalypse movie lovers as it is not going to follow the story of the traditional franchise directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and later continued by Milla Jovovich, instead, it is going to shed light on the zombie outbreak Racoon City suffered in 1998.
With the title, Roberts also revealed the list of confirmed characters all set to face the danger in the reboot movie, and no doubt this movie is going to be star-studded with many renowned and fan-favorite actors such as Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Ada Wong.
Indeed, this is going to be a great year for all the Resident Evil franchise lovers, as the makers have already planned a lot to treat their fans. They were all planned to take the franchise to another level with a brand new game series titled Resident Evil village, slated to release on May 7.
The franchise has also been working on two new TV series, one by CGI animated Project featuring Leon and Claire in lead and another one at Netflix expected to release in 2021. The second venture is more exciting as it is going to follow an undisclosed character that is completely different from the character audience have witnessed in past.
Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City is currently in its production stage and as per the statement by Robert, it is expected to see its theatrical release on September 3.
