Well now for the fact we all know that Evan Peters is on board. Other than him, Niecy Nash will be seen playing the role of Glenda Cleveland, Dahmer’s neighbour who cautioned police and the FBI of his suspicious conduct. Penelope Ann Miller will play the role of Dahmer’s mother, Joyce.
While Richard Jenkins will play Dahmer’s father, Lionel. Shaun Brown and Colin Ford are also pinned to the project but we do not know for which role yet. The show will work around the period of 1960s, 70s, 80s and Dahmer’s final downfall i.e. his arrest in the 90s.
The series will be attacking the police department for not acting on the crime beforehand given Jeffrey’s white privilege. Also, he was given a free pass by cops as well as by judges who were tolerant when he had been charged with negligible wrongdoings.
The official news of the release date has not come out yet. Several reporters have tried to reach out to Murphy for the confirmation of this series but he has not responded yet. Looks like the release might take a little longer. Given the tight schedule of Ryan Murphy and Ian on American Horror Story S10. Netflix has not commented on it too.
We can expect the release by Spring 2022.
