Google announced its first developer preview of Android 12. The software will be available for suitable Pixel devices. One can now download the Android 12 developer on Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and also on Pixel 5 smartphones.

Android 12 Users can now avail of new visibility controls for notifications, which will allow apps to bring on additional changes while making changes through notifications.
Picture in Picture improvements(PIP)
The apps will now allow resizing for picture-in-picture playback more conveniently. Android 12 will also enable auto-PIP for apps, which will make the system directly move to PIP for the apps that support them when one will swipe up to go to the home option.
Applying common graphics effects is now easier than before in Android 12, One can separately apply blurs and color filters, and combine these effects as chain effects.
Bandwidth estimation improvements
Google has now enhanced the existing bandwidth estimation APIs. Android Developers can now get an amount of aggregate throughput per carrier for Wi-Fi SSID, network type, and signal level, for all the users of the device.
Compatible to companion device app API
Wearable devices such as smartwatches and fitness trackers normally require a dedicated app for managing them. Google has now made it easier and convenient for such apps to run and connected whenever an associated companion device is nearby. In order to do that Android 12 Developer Preview, 2 has now introduced a new CompanionDeviceService API.
How to download Android 12 Developer Preview 2
In order to install Android 12 Developer Preview 2 on a Pixel device, one must have a Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, or Pixel 5. One can either take the incremental OTA update or flash the builds manually.
In case someone does not have a compatible device, they can run the build-in Android Studio’s Android Emulator. The second Android 12 Developer Preview is available for Android TV, along with the ADT-3 Developer Kit which is the only compatible device.
