Locke and Key – Season 2: Is it Confirmed? All Latest Updates

Netflix, the master of OTT platforms, has come up with a number of A-class web series. Among them, one is Locke & Key. Last year it came with it’s first season. Can we expect a season 2 this year? Here’s all you need to know about it.

Plot Info of Locke & Key

Locke & Key is based on a comic book of the same name written by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez. The first season was released last year in February. The series is developed by Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and Aron Eli Coleite.

First season of this series was well-liked by the audience. And whether it will have a season 2 or not is a trending question. It’s been a year since the first season of this fictional supernatural horror drama hit the screens of Netflix.

Updates and News 

Show developer, Carlton Cuse, spoke with IGN giving us a hint about the upcoming season of the show. He said the writers have begun with their work on ‘new episodes’. As far as it goes, we can guess that he is talking about season 2 of Locke & Key.

According to sources, production began on new episodes at Cinespace Film Studios located in Toronto, Canada on Monday, 21 September 2020.

Also, Locke & Key star Darby Stanchfield (Nina) in December 2020, posted a photo on Instagram with his co-actors Connor Jessup and Jackson Robert Scott alongside. The picture was captioned, “Half of season 2 Locke-d in…” Seemingly they were on the set of Locke & Key set in Toronto.

Locke & Key – Season 2: is it confirmed?

Apparently, in that same month we got another clue that season 2 is on its way. Darby Stanchfield had again posted a video of them (the Locke & Key stars) dancing and enjoying with the caption, “A high key happy dance for #lockeandkey season THREE! But first, look out for Season two in 2021!” 

Here we go, that is a clear hint that we can expect season 2 this year, 2021. Also season 3 is lined up too. A big news and relief for all the fans.

Carlton Cuse, regarding the renewal, has said: “We have some incredible adventures in store for the Locke family in season three, and could not be more excited to continue telling our story with our great partners at Netflix.”

With all of this, we can clearly anticipate that two seasons of Locke & Key are on its way. Season 2 may end up on our screens by the end of this year, late 2021.
