There aren’t many fanbases that can match the size of BTS’ Army. BTS fans had already lost faith in the 2021 Grammys. Which had been supportive and protective of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook before the official ceremony even began that evening. After losing the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song “Dynamite” to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Army had #scammys trending on Twitter.
it’s the fact that BTS don’t need a grammy, it’s the Grammys that need BTS ????????♀️ #bts

The BTS Army is enraged that the band did not win the Best Pop Duo/Group Award although “Dynamite” was the No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
In 2021, the seven-member band competed for the Grammy Award for best pop duo/group performance. Despite a string of Top 40 hits and sold-out arenas and stadiums, they were unable to win the trophy which is what made the BTS Army angry.
BTS was nominated for a Grammy for the second time this year, but this time for their song. If they had won that night, it would have been a historical first for the global phenomenon.
BTS had previously mentioned on the official Grammys website that their high-energy single, “It all started with this idea: even in the face of adversity, we must concentrate on what we can do. Singing and dancing provided us with independence and happiness. This song is dedicated to those who need inspiration. When people listen to the track, we hope they feel energized.”
Given the poor results at the awards, the BTS score served as a consolation for its Army. Fans who felt disappointed by the Grammys vented their grievances on the BTS Twitter account. “A Grammy isn’t needed for BTS to be good musicians. They’re still breaking records and charting all over the world, and that’s not going to change. Since BTS works hard for us, the Army will continue to help them. #BTSOurGreatestPrize.” one follower posted.
BTS dosen’t need a Grammy to prove they’re successful artists. They continue to smash records and chart all over the world and that won’t change. Army will continue to work hard at supporting BTS because they work hard for us.#BTSOurGreatestPrize pic.twitter.com/ThfOY4JFfe

“Wow, that was a great performance. You did an excellent job. We are very proud of you.” One fan wrote, “I love you from the bottom of my heart.” Although another tweeted, “Jeon Jungkook, those vocals, that smile, those smooth steps,” another praised Jungkook.
Even though BTS was unable to win the award that night, they consoled their fans on the red carpet during the Grammy by saying “We’ll be back with even greater songs, good performances, and even great music. So we’ll prepare even harder for the coming year, and we’ll be back with amazing music and shows for you to enjoy.”
