Among the famous, highly commercialized artists like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Roddy Ricch, Grammy is finally giving a window to the arising artists. Speaking mainly of the women, Grammy has seen a leap in the number of ladies nominations being expanded, bouncing from 28.1% this year compared to 13.4% in general from 2013 to 2021.
As we all know this year Beyoncé is leading the Grammys with over 9 nominations. Behind her are Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa with over 6 nominations.

1. Priya Darshini
Priya Darshini, India born artist has been nominated under the category ‘Best New Age Album’ for her album ‘Periphery.’ Her new album is the perfect mix of Traditional Indian and Pop music.
24 year old has bagged her place in the category Best New Artist for her song “Industry Games’. She even made her own version of Kanye West’s song ‘Jesus Walks.’
3. Ingrid Andress
Worked with big artists like Charlie XCX and Alicia Keys, she even co-wrote Charlie XCX’s song “Boys.” She is nominated for her song ‘Lady Like’, under Best Country Album. It is a ballad song.
Nominated for the category ‘Best Traditional R&B Performance’ for “Distance.” The song is about a relationship that was already dead spiritually although not in labels. A line from the song, “I wrote a goodbye before we ever got the chance to fight.”
5. Lupita Infante
She has garnered a Grammy nomination for the ‘Best regional Mexican music album’ for “La Serenata” which was released two years ago.
Nominated for the ‘Best Metal Performance.’ Poppy is the first-ever solo artist in the 30 years of Grammy history as a female to be nominated. Her song “BLOODMONEY” was released in 2016, which was an attack on religious customs, beliefs, and hypocrisy.
