The American hockey player Mark Pavelich left the world on 4th March, 2021. Pavelich was the member of the team ‘Miracle on Ice’ in 1980’s U.S Olympic hockey team. He played 355 regular season games as an professional ice hockey forward. In the National hockey league for the New York rangers, Minnesota north stars and San Jose Sharks from 1981 till 1991. Pavelich has been playing hockey from his school days.

Mark Pavelich was born to the Croatian immigrants and grew up in rural Eveleth Minnesota. He began playing hockey when he was in school. In the Eveleth High school he was the star performer of the hockey team. Later he went to University of Minnesota Duluth and played three seasons from 1977 to 1979 as an amateur player. He’s know for his victory of 1980 Which won him gold medal in the Lack Placid.
In 1985 on 11, September, he married Sue Koski. The couple are parents’ of Tarja. She was born in the year 1987. Pavelich’s first and the only child. The couple later got divorced in the year 1989. Pavelich again got married in the year 1994 to Kara Brumachuk. Pavelich’s second wife had a tragic death due to the accidental fall from their balcony at Lutsen, Minnesota home. She died at the age of 44 on September 2021. The couple had no child together.
He was arrested for harming his neighbour with whom he went for fishing. He was also charged for four felony counts – second and third degree assault position of a short – barreled gun and a firearm with missing or altered serial number. He then was arrested on August 15, 2019. He couldn’t handle the charges became mentally ill. He couldn’t rationally handle the trials. Later after the orders of the judge he was sent for treatment from mental illness.
Pavelich was found dead at the age of 63. He was kept at the Eagles Healing Nest in Sauk centre, Minnesota. He was getting treated for his mental illness at the centre. The team found him dead on the Thursday, 4th March, 2021. According to the sources the cause of death and manner of death still under investigation. The police arrived at the dashboard at around 8:30 a.m. and found him dead several hours before their arrival. On Wednesday at around 8 p.m. he was last seen by the centre’s staff members.
The U.S hockey who’s shattered with the loss said “We are saddened to hear about the passing of 1980 Olympic gold medalist mark Pavelich. It further added that “we extend our deepest condolences to Mark’s family and friends forever. He is forever part of hockey history.”
