After a long hustle and bustle, Warner Bros has finally found the writer for their upcoming Superman project. Widely known essayist and Novelist Ta-Nehisi Coates has been hired by Warner Bros. To pen the script for the upcoming feature reboot of DC’s classic hero Superman.
According to the news reports, Under the production of J.J. Abrams, The Superman reboot is still in its pre-production stage. Other than Abrams, Hannah Minghella is also producing the Warner Bros upcoming feature venture. Presently, the creative team is in the search of an actor to play the role of Superman on the silver screen.
To be invited into the DC movies is an honor, said Ta-Nehisi Coates
Ta-Nehisi Coates is not a newbie in the superhero universe. Previously, the writer has delivered many highly-acclaimed contents. Including the book series for ‘Captain America’ and ‘Black Panther’ among many others.
In a recent interview, Coates expressed his excitement to be a part of the DC’s extended universe. He quoted “To be invited into the DC Extended Universe by Warner Bros , DC Films and Bad Robot is an honor. I look forward to meaningfully adding to the legacy of America’s most iconic mythic hero.”
Toby Emmerich, the chairman of Warner Bros. Picture Groups said “with his exceptionally vowing work in Between the World and Me, Ta-Nehisi Coates opened a new world. And changed our perception towards the universe. We are very much excited and confident. That Coates is going to deliver something that Superman’s fans has never witnessed before”.
Recently, Coates has been making headlines with his upcoming superhero projects and adaption of his work on the silver screen. In November, the audience witnessed the Adaptation of Coates’ Between the World and Me into the HBO film.
According to the reports by the Hollywood Reporter, after the feature reboot of Superman, the audience will get chances. To witness several other DC series for streaming service HBO Max, under Abrams’ expansive WarnerMedia deal.
